Cant merge Imaps

I can't seem to get this to work.

I rendered out a couple of Imaps via backburner. I can open up the latest Imap viewer and am able to view the Imaps individually. When I try to merge them, the program just closes.

Am I missing something?

You can try to merge them without the display option, in case it is the OpenGL preview that crashes; or you can try merging them one at a time.

I merged them one at a time via command line and it seems to work.

When merging imaps from command line, it seems like Command Promot got Limited Text buffer..whenever it reaches limit, Command Prompt closes leaving the whole thing unfinished.

I do really long animations and this process is driving me crazy.

Right now i have a 12000 (every 25th) frame IMAP calculation finishing.
I will have to merge 2000 frame range at a time... and thats only possible if my path is the shortest possible., for example: c:/i/imap0000.imap

I'd had no problem at all if it was an irregular project... but i experience this 2,3 times a week since we got a 60 processor farm. Constant project submitions... 24/7

Is there any way to process every 10,20 imaps, dump input buffer and repeat again? :S

Yep, you can use a batch (.bat) file to do it, or MaxScript (by calling the irradiance map viewer from maxscript).

thats what i use, i have 2 methods so far, one is my own command line generator and Imap Merger maxscript... but whenever i merge big ammounts of imaps the textbuffer runs out... and imap merger quits.

Do you have any sort of SDK for your tools? I might have a try...
