  • VFB Vray5: How to get the Frame Number automatically noted?

    Hello,

in the past there has been a postage stamp in VFB, is there something with Vray5, too?
I need always to know, which frame of a sequence was rendered.

Also the picture information (available for saved pictures in the history by right button click) which has a vast list, writes only 0000 as current frame number, which is not true.

    Thanks

You can turn on the stamp in the vfb layers panel

What you need to do is to click on that line and then click on 'Insert Variable'...that puts that entry on to the stamp, so the same process for each data that you need added.

As you can see, still it tells only 00000 - which is my problem all the time

Ah, I see what it is. You are using GPU and I get the same, so apparently it's broken
Maybe worth making a post in the GPU issues section.

I was only testing once GPU, I’m normally always using CPU. But I’m sure it‘s the same with standard CPU rendering.
But I will check today and post in the issues section.

I have the same build, with current 3dsMax 2022.
Not working.... working currently with Phoenix FD renders

As mentioned in the other thread you started on this subject, please try the latest nightly, as it works just fine for me (with CPU).

Where do I get those nightlies? I can't see them in the download list...
(I have only installed the latest download)
                          Thanks

Thanks, but where is the download?
There are empty folders, nothing visible or happening when I press on the buttons or "latest builds" or the date...
