  • Texture preview on lights in viewport?

    I am often stumbling on the fact, that in Maya you can make textures in viewports to plane lights visible. In 3D Max I have to turn on the IPR and translate the light in a more or less complicated way.
    But the Orientation is not as good as having direct visual feedback about it in the viewport.
    Impossible to get light textures visible in the viewport?

    Agree, I'm also working in Maya and in Max and found it very helpful in Maya! Maybe you make a new feature request...

      I think, currently, in 3ds Max, it works only for the Legacy Direct3d viewport driver.

        oh really? Maybe I try it once ... but who wants that? but thanks for the hint!

        I added here something to "wishlist", with an idea of workaround. But no clue if that might be possible to do so. If I would be able to script, I would try something like that by myself:
