  • mask for specific env fog

    i have one env fog inside another... i need a mask for the one inside.... without rendering a seperate pass. is there a way?

    HI, thanks for posting. It is not directly possible. One idea that probably deserves testing is to use the deep exr output and make custom masks in Nuke for instance.

      thanks for the suggestion but ive never used deep output, or nuke, and i dont have nuke, so ill have to take your word that it might work.

        Could you add everything else to a multimatte so that you are left with a negative matte of just what you want?

          id end up with both env fogs.. the atmosphere and the clouds, in one mask... which i can get from the dedicated atmosphere element.
