    I think that would be windows 2000 server, in any case, if you force win2k to do something it was not designed to, it will be unstable, as winxp 3gb switch can be very unstable for some, and totally kill others.

          32bit, might dual it with 64.

          But there is alot of stuff that i use that i reckon wouldnt be so 64bit happy.

              this will take some time guys. Since remember how long it took to transition from win 98/nt to win2k...and then how long we used it for since. So those brave ones who install winxp 64 bit also put on 32 bit and live it with, as this will be for a while. With microsofts longhorn or vista or whatever its called in progress I dont know how winxp 64 bit will come around.

                Yeah definitly. But i feel that is somewhat unlikely.

                With longhorn not too far off i think they will be focusing on that.

                    on the other hand tho, no one will jump onto longhorn once it is out, but rather many people/places will hold off until its out for a while. This means that micro dudes will have to develop winxp more and more until people feel confident to switch to longhorn. However, reading some of the restriction policies and other legal crap that is going to be comming out wiht it I doubt that many people will. We'll see.
