It seems like the 3rd party people, at least the ones I used, no longer sell Chaos products. I just got an email saying it, from one vendor.

If you have a perpetual VRay5 rendernode license you can upgrade that to a perpetual VRay6 node for 269.90 euro (don't know $$).
And the VRay next node for 539.90 euro.

That is an awful lot of money for a node. This hobby is getting expensive.

$190/year isn't that bad though? its basically less then $20/month for a node. If it gets your work done 30% faster it's worth it. Sure it was nice when it was free or included, but people need to make money. I mean we don't like paying for maya/max etc some of the software is bloody expensive, that's just reality of life.

Yeah, it also a tax deduction, so it isn't a huge deal. It might be months before I hear back from sales... two days now and no reply.

I use Trinity Animation as my reseller, and they are excellent. Also typically a few bucks cheaper than retail (not much, but something).
