    Hi everyone

    Just wanted to know if anyone is using the VRay Dirt/Ambient occlusion shader (whats it called these days) and how it compares to Mental ray's version for doing interiors? I had requested it but i figure the boys in the VRay lab are busy trying to sort out our next point release, so was looking for info on it

    I cant say for Chao´s final implementation, but the custom version (created on top of the base version included in the sdk) we use works like a charm and is fast. From my experience it seems to be quite faster then MR´s...tho i havent been using MR in a while.

      Well, Vlado gave me a peak at Siggraph. It was cool. Has some extra "direction" controls to reinforce where the dirt goes.
