I've saved a .vfbl file for layers but can't seem to get it to stick for Batch Rendering. I created a Preset, thinking that either "Environment" or V-Ray GPU 6 Update 1.2" Categories would capture the frame buffer data, but apparently not. Any ideas for how to make this happen? Thanks.

I think I found the answer in this thread and it's not possible what I'm hoping to do.
Basically, I wish to use batch render and scene states for a series of different camera/light setups for a scene. But I am using VFB for compositing on output. The goal is to have zero post-work (done all in VFB). However, in the batch render process, I notice that each time VFB runs at the 'default' Lightmix setting so I have to be watching in order to load the .vfbl preset for it.
The thought was that I could make a V-Ray render preset and then load that into the batch render and all would be right with the world. But I guess not. If only there was a way to add VFB as a "state" or preset or something...

I see. You could render the images, re-load them in VFB, apply the desired preset, and re-save again. The VFB has a "Batch image processing" function (VFB>File>Batch image processing) to speed up the process.

Look into a scene manager like Pulze Scene Manager (RPM, Reindeer, RenderStacks, etc) or similar. Saves you a couple of weeks work in a year. I know Pulze Scene Manager can do this no sweat.

You can define any .VFBL per scene you render yes. I suggest you give the trial a try.

Pulze scares me because it says it requires a constant internet connection. I can’t have a tool that may leave me high a dry on a project if their server goes down or our primary and backup internet connections go down.
I need to test it with an Internet outage and see what happens, but that seems like a totally unnecessary requirement serving only the needs of the developer, not the user.
