    I know, I noticed the (2) partition, but it was 2am when I was changing it so you know how it goes...never make major computer changes at 2am. Anyway, do you think that is enough to crash my system? I'm nervous to try it again, but it would be useful.
    Thanks.

      It's enough to tell windows to look in the wrong place for all it's files... hence the "missing or corrupted Hal.dll"

          It should look like this:

          [boot loader]
          timeout=30
          default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOW S
          [operating systems]
          multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional 3GB" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /3GB
          multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
