  • animation settings

well, I thought I'd start a new thread for this. I am working on an animation that keeps running out of memory. It is pretty large and I am afraid of the 3gb switch (for various reasons...see boot.ini thread). My Lights are all vray, samples around 18, and I have turned off recieve and generate GI caustics for most of my materials, which really seemed to help with render time. Any input would be great. Also, these settings are giving me a good image with a good quality vs. time balance, now I am just trying to keep the darn thing from crashing.

whats your AA method? Adaptive subdivision uses copious amounts of ram.

I am using AA, but I just can't get QMC to look good with only 500 samples on the light cache.

Just wondering, that was the first image I tried to post, does the link work?
