  • Script to change VFoV

Is it possible to change the Vertical Field of View setting in the camera dropdown of the render settings (spherical cam) using MaxScript?

I tried showproperties vr to see if I could spot it but it gives me an error.

To be clear, are you entering "showproperties vr" in the listener or "vr=renderers.current; showproperties vr"? "vr" is only a variable in this case defined to be "renderers.current" or "V_Ray...." It's essentially like entering "showproperties renderers.current" but allows you to use the "vr to set the options later.

With vr set, the script is vr.camera_fov=###.

    www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

Thanks for the info, I understand now. I was entering "showproperties vr" in the listener.

I have vr.camera_fov=### working and can use vr.camera_overrideFOV=boolean to toggle it on and off, but I can't see the setting to change the vertical field of view. Does this exist?

Scratch that, I've found it. It's the option camera_cyl_height= ### as it changes to 'vertical field of view' when spherical panorama is set.
