just resurrecting this thread. Trying out the scene, and frankly I know nothing about morphers. How do you adjust it so the birds are randomized in the wing flapping? Also I can't get the script to work in max 9 but have manually gotten around that.

i did by hand, percy. Select, say, a quarter of the flock and drag their keyframes 1 to the left. select another quarter, drag their keyframes 2 to the left etc.

      there's probably a better way, but, y'know...

by the way - this file is now hosted on six4one:

thanks, thats where I got the file from. when opening the file I also found that the back feathers, eyes and beak had somehow been scaled down by a factor of alot. I decided to just kill whatever modifier/controllers were in the scene, and rig it for animation. Did a quick 8 frame flap cycle and set it to repeat in the curve editor, then redid the path follow. Worked pretty good and is in my scene now. Thanks!

The preview is great, but I wasn't able to download it. Do I need to register, because it's stored in a public folder?

You need to register, then in the thread about it here you need to ask to be added to the legit vray downloaders group
              Ask in this thread:

haha! If you saw how horribly I rigged the bird mesh, I'd be laughed out of the cg profession for all time! Thank god for copious amounts of moblur is all I can say

I've re-uploaded (is that even a word?) the original file:

                      http://rapidshare.com/files/33126892/flock.zip

I tend to use millimetres, so I suspect someone changed it to Imperial Units, Percy, which is why you had problems with the six4one version?

ahhh.. that might have even been me that changed the units. It didn't conform to my max units and I dont remember if I had it changed or went with what was in the file.
