I also request for a point release and no answer from them.
if they have a new point release and they know its better in dr and probably other areas then why not release it to the public and not only to chosen ones?
dongles sure can add up. but hey. it means you can put your liscence into your pocket and take it with you somewhere.

That sure is a nice feature, I used my Solidworks licence like that on my laptop at a client. With the current protection, this would not be easy with Vray. I hope though that they will have a good policy for breaking or lost dongles...
You can contact StudioGijs for 3D visualization and 3D modeling related services and on-site training.
i think its a good idea, it will help with the cross platform plans for the future. but we use a network license and it would be great if we could just have 1 dongle that has the network license on it.
I doubt a dongle would avoid piracy, but it would be a good switch in my eyes IF (and only if) the dongle´s license can still be used network-wide like the current license. Because i´d hate to get down under my desk everytime a freelancer needs my lincese while i´m working something esle :P

One can do this, yes. It works very much like the current floating license system, only the license server works with a dongle, and not with an authorization code.
The main reason we are switching to dongles is that will make porting of licenses a lot easier. Also, there will be no delay for email exchange in case you need to reinstall your machine because of hardware failures etc.
