I don't know if this is something that is possible but this is what usually happens to me: I get a plan (archi) and work in. The shell is usually pretty stable and doesn't change. The details change. I usually model in place and the go to isolation mode for the fine tuning and poly modeling then I unhide everything and test render. Now I already have the background it has not changed, I may have not changed lights in a while but I have to re-render everthing and it takes time but all I want is the new cabinet or to see a revamp of my whatever say bumpy glass material. I even have a saved irr map before I created this cabinet. But more than calc'ing the irr map I would like to not have to render whole scene (I mean the room I am rendering regions at this point).
Basically what I am asking is this. I have a room rendered and modeled and it's done. Last minute the designer wants a vase on the table, is there anyway now or in the future to just render that vase using the existing lightin reflections everything. And not just for final images but for test renderings as well/
Thank you and good night.
