          Here's another variation on the crystal chandelier material. In this one, I used Hilight glossiness to reflect more light. I used a blurred image of the room as the sphere map (see ice tutorial for explanation). In photoshop, I composited the blurred room image with the crystals, added a few sparkles and the results are beginning to look believable. Again, suggestions are welcome.

              Exactly what I was looking for to finish this HUGE crystal cloud for this project... 1,725,475 actual modeled crystals... thank god for 'scatter compound object'.... and your fast rendering crystal material! CHEERS!

                Thank's for posting this example... it saved my rendering time (gradient ramp map in the glossiness slot is a baaaaad idea)
