  • question about frosted glossy glas

    nice day!
i try to make a frosted glass.
first i think to use sss-material but with this there is no refraction...
without sss we have no lightscattering in the glasswall.
okay. maybe i can spare it.
but second i wonder about the sharp shadow when the wall is closed.
should it not as blurry as the eyerays pass the wall?
any idea? did you even try to make a frosted glass?
    thanks for help!

(the shadow-artefacts on the wall-backside will go when i switchoff "use lightcache for glossyrays")

here the materialsettings for the wall:

To achieve proper light scattering, you need to disable the affect shadows option and use caustics instead. However, this is going to render longer and will take some time to set up the caustics.

    Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

      thanks vlado!
i will give it a try and post it later.
any chance to mix sss with blurry objects behind?
      maybe with shellac-material?
