Applying the gamma correction in post. With the data being linear...tweeking is a snap.

Here is a small example (very low quality)

I'm just trying to figure out if I should be saving all my animation frames to flaoting point (which would be freaking huge...) and running a batch exposure correction on all the frames with CS2, or if Premeire or some other video software should do the correction at compile?

Actually if you save as half float exr's the file size is roughly the same size as a tga, half float is still a lot of color and works pretty well.

Are there limitations working with 32-bit EXR frames in AE? With PS CS2 for stills, you are very limited.. no layers, no filters. I guess I need to experiment before I run a floating point LWF animation.

can anyone post their comprehensive animation workflow?
what filetype should the floating point image be? linear or Gamma corrected?

                  Best regards,
                  Ryan
