  • making glass not so perfect looking

    http://static.flickr.com/72/202324363_aa7c6dbc82_o.jpg

I would like to make the glass not so perfect with slight surface undulation that happens from the fabrication process.

    Any suggestions?

You can use a procedural texture in the bump slot, i.e. waves, noise, stucco, etc. Make several copies of the same material, and change the phase on the bump for each of the materials. Then apply the materials randomly to each pane of glass and you should end up with something that looks pretty close to what you wanted.

hahah posting in challenges again hey res3d.. didnt I tell you about this last time.

stuff like this would go in the General section ... (as it is now) and the rest is obvious... problems and bugs in the problems section, images in the images section..etc..etc...

the challenge section is only for posting challenges like what is already there. So in other words..just dont post there again
