we got ours. have you tried asking your reseller? (which I suppose is the same as ours, since it seems there's only 1 reseller in italy).

that reseller you suggested? it's not the one I used at time of my purchase but actually it's the nearest one;
or the real one that sold me the licence, an USA based onlineshop?
who knows?
Every one said,:"Be quiet, you will receive the dongle when the 1.5 final will be shipped" ...and so on, the same old story.

..and I already know about other that you italian customers that already own their dongles, received from that reseller.

i bought directly from chaos years ago. we dont actually have local reseller here. who will send me the dongle?

It will be best to call the office and have someone answer all your questions; since I do not deal with this directly, I have no way of answering your questions here.

However, I know that your dongle will get to you, in one way or another; either through a re-seller or directly from us. I do not know which route a particular dongle will take though.

Just a heads up to those users still trying to track down a dongle. I just got off the phone with the place I ordered my copy of Vray from and there is a $40US charge plus shipping and handling fees to get your dongle. While $40 isn't going to break my bank account, I still am not too amused about having to pay the extra fee just so that I can use the software that I have already paid for.

WTF??!?!? That's rediculous, hmm buy a $800 to $900 plugin but you cant uset it till you buy a $40 dongle?! I'm sorry Vlado, Peter but thats just this side of F#$%^* up.

Nah you can use it no problem, you just don't have a portable license until you switch over to the dongle which solves the problem of machines dyling and taking a license with them or wanting to bring a license home to play with vray there.

It's an old thred I know but charging another $40 plus shipping is wrong. I ordered my V-Ray from VisMasters and had the dongle delivered within 3 days to South Africa for $30.

I can't even find the dongle request form. I've bought my licence from evermotion.

Went to the private area yesterday because i wanted to try vray on max 9, and all of the current versions require dongle. BTW, what is vray 1.5.00.0?

You need to contact a local reseller or evermotion to get your dongle.

THe dongle form I think was intiially for when Chaosgroup was actually going to be sending out the dongles.. not the case anymore.

vray 1.5.00.0 is the FINAL vray 1.5

Yeah, i dunno. I think its a little hush hush as Vlado and Peter were/are still away at siggy when it was released.

And seeing it still requires the dongle, which it seems alot of people dont maybe they are holding off with all the commotion.

I must admit I am a little suprised tho, I expected an official (forum) announcement. And more hooplah but nothing really.

I did write to my reseller yesterday and he told me that Chaos Group was going to ship the dongles directly and would take a couple of months. His mail is pasted below.

Yes I remember selling you V-Ray back in 2005.
I just met with Chaos Group at Siggraph this week and they said that they would be sending dongles to all customers directly.

The time frame they mentioned was between 1-2 months.

Chaosgroup CAN send the dongles directly. But the main channel to get them thru is the resellers.
