Does the Opacity Map slot in the V-Ray material work in the same way as the Opacity Map slot in scanline?
I have a 3D model of an island that is planar mapped from the top down. The 32bit TGA that is assigned to the diffuse and opacity map slots in the V-Ray material has a very straight forward alpha...100% white where the island is and then fading to 100% black at the edges.
The result I get when I render is that the entire island appears mapped at what looks like something like 50% opacity.
