  • I'll try that. It's certainly worth a try. However, I would assume RC 4 was given to testers and the rest of us just need to wait patiently. I just hope RC 4 gets here before my dongle does

vergefio did it in 55sec on a dual 5355 so not sure why mine is so "slow"..

      /Thomas
Yes, i didn't mention my 5355 was clocked at 3125Mhz, got 52sec at 3,2Ghz though (rock solid).

      Sorry about that

          • well vergefio.. that explains a lot

But you and other really have to write it's overclocked, else it goes wrong when people try to do some stats on all the numbers.

              • Thomas, you're right, sorry again but i was in hurry

                @ jacksc02

Well, I think the most complete thread over the net about overclocking woodcrest and clowertown is the follow:

                http://forums.2cpu.com/showthread.php?t=77937

Pratically you have to use systool to overclock via windows your quad system for all x5000 chipset (not for intel boards because of a laser-cut bridge). Keep in mind these rigs MUST be kept cool under overclock and possibly liquid cooled. Hope that helps

                            • How good is a single xeon quadcore E5345 2,33 ghz.
Do you think the X6700 is faster, and how much?

                              Thanks

                              • if you get a single xeon you can only put it on a dual socket board so your better off getting 2 xeons and getting a kick arse machine!
