Anyone have a link or list of the old benchmark stuff that has a better list of what each computer actually is? The one on VrayElite is not very clear. Lots of missing info, like CPUs.
Chris,
It has:
- machine
- operating system
- processor type
- # of processors
- # of cores
- overclocked (yes/no)
- Max version (32/64 bit options)
- Vray Version (32/64 bit options)
- rendertime
- and a link to the rendered image
what else should be there? maybe i need to edit the layout...getting all that to work was really tricky.
best,
-joe
I'm pretty impressed with seeing such great rendertimes on the MacPro's! Looks like they're handling Max with VRay just fine.
Yeah, we went with the MacPro (instead of BoXX) this time around because outside of 3D work, we're a mostly Mac office, and it was an easier sell to the decision makers because it could be repurposed back to OSX for someone else's workstation down the road. This let me go over the original budget
The only real problem I have with it is that the eject button on the keyboard doesn't work There's supposedly a driver for the keyboard in the Bootcamp package, but that's for 32bit WinXP, not 64bit.
All in all though, I'm quite happy with the machine and it performas as well as machines in the same price range from Boxx and Dell.
