Vray Spawner - x64 MAX 9 - not loading scene

When I try to start the Vray Spawner for the 64bit version of Vray, running on Windows XP 64 for MAX 9 64, it won't load the vraydummy(xx).max file.

It keeps trying to but instantly closes, over and over again.

On the same machine, the Max 8 Vray Spawner loads absolutly fine.

What could it be?......

is the render machine able to "see" a license?

Found it - it was my fault, a dodgy install of MAX 9

Just a tip - don't install MAX 9 off the .msi files like you did with MAX 8!

However It is still not working and doing the same thing! How strange - the spawner on my local machine works fine....

Hi atom,

Try running backburner manager and spawner once, on the machine with
the problem, this should fix it.

I had exactly the same problem, and did this and it worked ok after that.

good tip there steve! i have finally been able to get DR going on my laptop!

I think you may be onto something there - however, I can't even get backburner to work - I can't uninstall it as it has an error and I can't install the new version until the old one is removed! So frustrating!

Has anyone else encourtered this?
