  • enable hyperthreading on DR machine

I'm using VRay DR on a computer that has hyper-threading, but the hyper-threading is not being utilized. Is there a way to activate hyper-threading on a DR system?

HT is usually set up in the bios. its not something that DR should be turning off or anything like that.

If you have MAX9 you must write something into max listener window to tell max about using more than 1 CPU (virtual or physical)

search here for MAX9 and Vray licence issue

make V-Ray the current renderer, open the MaxScript listener (F11), type "renderers.current.system_numThreads=2" without the quotes and press Enter.
