Max file collection (will rename as "collected_*.max") and possibility of using the collected file or not.
If the user choses not to use the collected file, max will just leave the current file open with its save flag off, in other words, if the file needed save before collection, it will need saving afterwards. Unless of course one choses to use (open) the collected file.

Wow, seems like you made my dream come true. This is great .. and it works, even with the override maps I love the simplicity of your interface and the good and usefull work the script does behind the scenes.

Btw. just an idea - but do you also know other external renders (Final Render, Brazil, Maxwell etc.) and their API for accessing their materials? - I think that a tool like this covering a broad range of renders would have the potential for a commercial success for you. I for one (using different renders for different tasks and clients) would gladly pay for such a utility.

I do know brazil and fR to an extent, but i never used either in production.
I should grab a copy of each and start trying away, but it's no petty money...
We'll see if santa forgot something under the tree
Thanks for the kind words, by the way, glad it help bits

            Hi all
I was looking long for this and I'm very thankfull of the energy you put in sharing this script.
Unfortunatelly, it doesn't work for me. Maybe I'm not using the good process.
I sweep the installer in the viz2007 window and "All done...".
Find and Put the button for VRayStuffCollector on a float.
            But nothing happens.
            Thanks for your help...

Agh, i am not sure it may work in Viz at all, to be honest.
I never even tried scripting with it

Would you be so kind to check if the listener prints anything out when you try and run it?

                Hello Lele,
I'm glad to tell you that it works also on Viz.
Certainly did a wrong process last time. Sorry for that.
                And molto thank you...

                  Ah, aha, fantastic
                  Tell me about user mistakes...
I'm glad I'm well alone when scripting
