    The Vray stainless shader works great. I think the whole issue is Max doesn't have a radial UV map. Good luck with communicating that wish to Autodesk though... I have never received a single reply to any posts on the worthless Autodesk forum.

        I think it will be intersting to have the "Valdo opinion" about that...

        But if it's possible to add an input map into the vray shader... it will be great...

          Add me to the wish list, This kind of effect are something I have been trying to figure out an easy way to do for ages..
          I have not come up with anything though..

          I guess Vlado will give us some update when he is back from wherever..

                @cubiclegangster: yes, as I suggested above, the fast way would be to create a bigger array, render it, and use it as a map. Would the normal map preserve the radial UV mapping from the original geometry? I should test that out...
