Hello,
This is my first Vray Architectural rendering. It’s just the basic structures with no materials (except for the pool material which is not done). I have hidden the glass, fixtures and furnishings which I will add after I get this part rendering well.
I don’t know much about Vray, but I do know there are many different ways to improve the render quality. I’m looking for some advice on how to improve the quality for this scene. Eventually I would like to be able to render a group of stills from the inside and outside and then do an animation (where only the camera moves).
These are my current settings(they are the same for each view):
VRay Sun default settings + intensity = 0.1
Under “Environment” Vray Skylight override is checked / 1.0
Render settings are all default
Primary = Irradiance Map / Hi
Secondary = QMC
Exponential color mapping
Each rendering took about 7 minutes.
I would like to stay with the Irradiance Map/ QMC combo because I think that will be best for doing an animation in the future, but I don’t know what to change next. What would be the next step to improve quality get rid of blotchiness and achieve more consistent small shadows? Also the inside shot does not seem bright enough.
Thank you very much for the help
