  • Moving from pure Irr to Irr+LC?

    I have a question concerning the Light Cache and Irradiance map GI solution. I have setup my Interior scene with Irradiance map as First bounce and the LC as second bounce. I precalced both solutions, but when rendering the scene it looks more like a mid 70 discoball illumination during prom night:=)



    The Irr map was precalced as low settings and the lc was set to
    500 sub ans samplesize 0,2 as scale world and mode flythrough

    looks like you have the 'show samples' checked.. (under irradiance map)

      This little bugger...

      I actually checked to see if it was checked or not. might have to check my vision today. Thanx a lot

        Im curious what you mean by "pure IR" do you mean just IR map and no secondary bounces?

          he probably means the default ir / qmc.

              With pure IR i meant First bounce Ir and Secondary QMC, just as Werticus guessed Sorry for my unspecific post then. Next time I do it right

                Ah k, well IR/QMC is "pure IR" as much as IR/LC is "pure IR".

                So unless your talking IR first bounce and no second bounce... there is no "pure IR"

                Anyway, case closed... NEXT!!!
