  • Dome light problem

In this exterior scene I have a problem when rendering on high res (2200x1466 px) with dome light subs set to 22. Render blocked on half image size...
With subs of 10 everything render correct and when I turn off dome light - same no problem

    http://www.visumporec.com/forum/01.jpg

Here are the settings: AQMC 1,5, QMC 10, LC 1500, 0.02, pre-filter 100, use LC for glossy ticked, rQMC 0.85, 0.008, samples 8, mult 4.
...trees are proxies, grass 2d displ., vray sky for environment

...many times dome light with subs of 20 was used for interior rendering (2000x1333 px), global mult of 5 without problems.
Is there some limit for dome light subs or something else?

Any suggestion or help would be appreciated

Hm is there a way to store smth, when primary engine is brute force with no storing possible ?

BTW - try to turn off show precalc for LC. Maybe it will help.
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

to store it in the IRMap, you'll need an IRMap, which is avaliable only as primary method, so no.
The direct mode needs no GI, the dome light provides QMC sampling itself, if one bounce only.

How is it that you have your intensity multiplier set to 300 and your render looks normal? A setting of no more than 1.25 usually does the trick for me with a domelight.
