a forum cant leak an RC a person who asked vlado for a copy had to leak it. back in the early days we had a couple of leaks but for a time when the beta testing list was really short we had none, but the rc versions are easier to get ahold of these days than the old beta versions were and so its alot more likely it will get leaked.

My reason for informing Vlado (at his request) was so that he can hopefully track down the party at cause of the leak and sort them out.

It gets complicated too when it is being used in a studio, where I am, I have to trust about 60 people that could leak the RC.Comment

We cleared this problem by hex editing - changed RC5 to RC3
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

Don't give them access to the installer, and it gets difficult to leak. This is why Chaos sends the pre-releases in an encrypted package. I assume different passkey for each one they send outOriginally posted by RErenderComment

I requested it (didn't get it) but only so that i could use Dimos new plugin release...but since he released an RC3 version...its all good in the hood!

Well...then someone will just write a crack for it... There was a guy on Evermotion talking about a site one day that had it.....Mostly people from Austraila I assume...Ya know the ones...trying to get an awesome thread count and such...Probably have a big LCD to compensate in other matters.

Too bad that there are leaks. Sometimes you might really need new build to deal with problems the pervious version had. Soon Vlado will not trust anyone and we all be doomed
. I though there is some kind of code in installer that will help to track who was the right owner of this build so it will be possible to track down the leak.

Perhaps the delay is so that they can get hardware locks to all of their customers and require the HL to use the final build? That would make the installer useless to those without the HL.

LOL...Yeah...I was checking out the specs on yours...I do have the Home Theater Epson Home 10 Projector and the screen is about 11 feet wide....BUT...you can;t beat a nice crisp screen of a LCD or plasma....Perhaps for Xmas.....(hint...hint) not you....
