Hello,
Fist of all thank you for you feedback.
Natty: I am glad you like it.
1) Yes we offer free updates. Only MAJOR updates for additional cost.
2) Remote Desktop crashing? Please be more specific. Please e-mail support@ixor3d.com
3) We are working on the Global shut-down / reboot feature. I believe in about 1 week will be ready.
4) We have already added an auto-death detect. We call it Energy Saving since it can dramatically reduce your electricity bill - especially if you have a big farm. There is an override option also.
here is a Refamo v2.02 Screenshot
Thank you,

Hi
yes there is a ReFaMo Node.exe that has to do the repoting to the ReFaMo.exe, i must say this software works great !

I can get the main screen to show the nodes stats (cpu, mem, etc) but when I try and open a viewer it open the window and then immediately closes it. No crash, it just closes it and goes back to the main control window. Any ideas?www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

Another bad thing: the settings.cfg file holds the password in a non-encrypted format, which is not acceptable. I understand that you have to buy licenses for the number of machines, but what about when you want to control from different locations: I can now control with RealVNC from my mobile phone, my home PC and the Office main WS. Compared to 190 euro for RealVNC for a 9 node access I find the price for a 10 node license for ReFaMo still acceptable at its current price point. But with the original price at 695 (I would not even think of paying that) I wonder what upgrades for major version would cost !!

Hi
This software really appealed to me for several reason, 1. the ability to monitor memory consumption as when machines start to get tired they tend to render from a colleague's scene, or something you rendered 10 Min's ago, so a quick restart before that happens is great. 2. My electricity bill is around £300 ($605) a month, so in fact the software should essentially pay for itself. 3. So in our studio we have 5 designers and 120 nodes, the ability to see what machines are free to use rather than shouting across the room makes for a quieter day! so for me its a great bit of kit.
Although, i do think there are still bugs in the software and crashes do happen. There needs to be a global tab and also the ability to install the node software in a batch format rather than spending my whole day today in vnc land over a busy network, was'nt fun believe me and still didn't finish all machines, i hope they fix this for updates because i don't wont go threw all that again.. The VNC function doesn't seem to work, does it work on a cross platform of 32 > 64 bit? win 2003 > xp64? Ah and i think the UI should be a little more gentle on the eye and in Dark Max Grey...
Apart from those points i think its a god send to our working day.

I understand your concern about pricing and that is why we made a 50% off. All our existing customers have access to the latest updates, we add features that really help their workflow and of course will never charge this updates.
Some of our free future updates include: Global options, Grouping, Dark UI option and Instant install Refamo node to all slaves. (most of these are client requests).
As far as the future price this is something that it is better to wait. As far as what upgrades ReFaMo will have when is v3 I can guarantee to you that will have loads of useful and time saving features.
Thank you,

I suppose the VNC function still does not work, so I'll wait for a new demo for that !
Refamo is using RDP protocol not VNC.
Could you please e-mail support@ixor3d.com with details about your network configuration? WinXP32bit? 64Bit? Vista etc...
We are using it here with XP64bit and XP32bit both ways without any problem so maybe there is something we need to look further.
Thank you,
