Is RT version will be release with the same speed Vlado?
I know that it is not a waporeware but WHY guys like me that trusted your renderer early 2000 (in 2003 I have bought Vray) have to ask you with PM such uptade?
Its more and more seems like you prefer working for big film companies, making update for thoose majores and not for us.

Your renderer is the best, you are one of the best.
    What's going on???? What's happen????
    Can we trust VRAY anymore?

    Vlado?

If you read carefully some one else has posted similar thing, what vlado has replied was something to remember:
The RT is in complete alpha phase right now, its not workable, its not usable, its just a test, a toy if you will. There is no point to distribute it widely for a number of reasons, one major one would be that greater number of users will assume its a workable release and start complaining about things not working and what not, others will try it play with it and put it off to a shelf, without providing valuable feedback to advance development.
That is why, if you want to add your 5 cents to development you must email to request special access.

We should all consider ourselves lucky that Chaos keeps us in the loop as much as the do with new developments. I'm sure they have their secrets as well but they certainly share a lot of alpha/beta tidbits with us well in advance of release. We wouldn't be pining over RT if Chaos were as closed and secretive as larger corporate software companies.

        Count your blessings!

Because we will need you to sign an NDA agreement first; mostly because this is a very early version and possibly not quite the same as final thing.

            Best regards,
            Vlado

But I can't imagine they're charging any of the testers of RT so what's your point? Chaos and Vlado seem to be more than generous with updates and claiming that they're being slow about releasing new technology really seems far fetched. And I really don't get your title... "rc? : 4 years- dongle 3 years - 1.5 Final : 5 years!!!" Yeah, there was a long lag between announcing and releasing the stuff you mention above but well before they were released we were treated to numerous updates and enhancements. Just because they waited what seemed like forever to release a version that they felt was worthy of "1.5" doesn't mean we didn't see anything in the interim. I have no doubt that we'll see some demo/beta release of RT when it's ready. Of course I could be wrong but it would be not in keeping with they're other releases (Max demo, Max Free, Maya Beta, Stand alone, etc).
                  www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

And we didn't have to wait very long at all for max 2009 support.
Most other plugins I use haven't even announced that they might support it yet.

                      to N6:
r u one of those "new feature" impatient and hungry users?
i mean... come on... cant u clearly see the progress vray has done over the years?

with people like yourself vlado will rather stop posting new WIP features and we wont have stuff to look forward to

of course i am also eager to see something like multilight in vray, but i will have to simply wait as 90% of other users....

let vlado do what he does best as long as he doesnt sell vray to autodesk in the end ))))

everyone want new additions and improvements to be ready yesterday. but that cannot be done. it takes time to create something good and stable and fast.

And like other people said, vray has made the best improvements compared to all other render engines out there. and you have not paid more until sp2. wich in my opinion is VERY generous of chaosgroup.
So have some patiance and let chaos go on with the fine product.

Even better, if you want new things there are posibilities to create your own stuff. have a look at it and see how diffucult the matter is....

                          Count your lucky stars

                          It could be worse,
you could have been waiting for FR 1/ 2, or Brazil 2, or Arnold or any number of render engines....
I have used tested the whole lot and they all take time to develop..... The fact that many of them stole wholesale from VRAY as well....which gives us that have to use the others on occasion a reason to thank Vlado for making a good product
I got banned from the FR Forum by Edwin for suggesting VRAY was easier to use during the open Beta for Vray (I was on the closed beta for FR....)and finally they had to cave in and admit it anddo it.... years later So while VRAY may not be perfect...nothing is....it's pretty darn good and is super fast...and Choas have been very open the whole time. Limiting the beta makes sense too in terms of a much more difficult product to bug hunt...

                          Cheers
                          Mike K

In simple words = VRay - forever
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

hehe... I probably shouldn´t say this but I guess Vray would be on point release 5 or 6 if they had the same upgrade speed vs quality/new features as the big A company...
