  • Render Element Bucket Edges

Does anyone know why I would get bucket edges in some render passes and not others?

    Best regards,

I don't have an immediate idea, but some questions: what AA method and antialiasing filter are you using? Also, which passes are we looking at in this image?

    Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

Hey Vlado, sorry, sometimes I picture you sitting in front of a crystal ball but yeah I guess a bit more info would have helped you help me

      Adaptive DMC 2,4
      Area 1.5

The good pass on the left is a MtlSelect of a FastSSS in the root of a VRayBlend and on the right is a Lighting pass derived form the same FastSSS diffuse roughness value. All other shaders in the blend are spec/ reflect only and a texmap set to 0% blend in one of the blend amount slots for use with an ExtraTex pass.

I should also mention that they are both being viewed with a 1.8 gamma in that JPG and derived from a raw render that was clamped around 3.0.
