  • Render elements - atmosphere

    Hi guys, few Qs

1.What does vray_atmosphere do? Also, where can I see more about them? Other than that table, it's not very informative.

    2. How come vray_zdepth is not filtered? The aliasing is usually noticeable when I post process in PS.

Also, can I add/view some of the elements if I forgot to add them to render before it began?

    Thx

For every render element, there is a checkbox, "Enable filtering"

The VRayAtmosphere render element contains atmospheric effects like Fog/VolumeFog/VRayToon etc.

You can only see render elements that were present when the rendering started. Otherwise V-Ray does not keep the information about them.

    Best regards,

Oh, how come zdepth cannot "see through" glass? Or should I enable something?

Also, you mean 3D Studios fog/volumeFog?

Render elements cannot see through refraction or reflection currently... (but some may work with plain transparency).

About the atmospherics - yes, the standard Fog and Volume Fog atmospheric effects.
