you can download the free PDF upgrade for the Italian version VRay SP2. The italian version is base on VRay 1.5 Final becouse it was sold in February 2008.

looks like a good book but the price is way too high.

The "problem" is that this book is very very BIG and heavy! It's not like a classic manual. It's 3.0 Kg, 21x30 (A4) and 1.000 pages. It's like a BIBLE, and this is why this price. Try to compare with italian MR book:

* It's 600 page (not 1030)
* It's 17cm x 24cm ( not 21cm x30cm)
* No DVD
* Price is 80 euro

For the shipping cost, I'm looking for the best solution. Some country is very expensive, like Lituania, Ghana, Somalia, Russia, Tanzania etc...Other "less" expensive, like France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Netherlands. Sorry, but the shipping cost (diesel) is very expensive and i can't to do nothing. If you are interested, temporarily you can see the Italian postal service. This is a common price for 3.0 Kg. POSTAL SERVICE.
It's in Italian, but is not so difficult tu understand. Soon we will post the exact shipping cost for all countries in the world.

I think the price seems about right.

I bought the new set of Arch Vis books from Brian Smith not too long ago and it was about $150, which combined are probably close to the same number of pages as this guide.

It's bit steep compared to a typical off the shelf book, but how useful are most of those really?

Anyway, maybe better to compare the value of this book to your own time instead. How many hours do you think it will save you?
