  • Turn default lights off automatically if GI is enabled?

Like the title says, do you think it is useful to implement this?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Why? Most people have it off in their default settings anyway. Maybe just have a low-level warning (the green one!) in vraymessages that tells you you should turn it off if you have it on while rendering (with GI).

jip, I vote yes also. with some kind of message reminding you that it will now be turned off and you will have to manually turn it back on if you need it

quite honestly, I really see no point to have a default light. But for this argument, I would say yes turn it off.

Is this a problem that people encounter often? Most of my scenes have a light in them, especially when I use GI so the default light is off anyway right? I would be more apt to just have the "default light" unchecked as the default for all scenes. Besides, I use DR always and the default light is ignored for DR rendering.

Never encountered a problem with it (use a custom maxstart scene), but i've also never used it and dont see the point - so if it's not too much work I dont see why it shouldnt be disabled.
