  • version for Max2010?

I suppose it will be 1.5sp3? I've heard vague rumours about 1.6, maybe with realtime enabled, but I guess I haven't heard enough rumours to make me believe it.

V-Ray 1.5 SP3 will be available for 3ds Max 2010 shortly after 3ds Max 2010 itself is released (you may have been confused by the version number of the V-Ray core DLL, which for SP3 is actually 1.70.00).

    Best regards
    Vlado

lots of websites say 2010 is out! But if you read it is just the features and the "small print" still says available sometime in spring 2009
          Kind Regards,

              it's out, no aprils fool.
Dl is quite fast (350kb/s), so will be finished tonight.

When do we get the vray update ?

Sometime next week. Have to download and build against the official SDK, just in case.

What are Autodesk like, I've just downloaded 2010 from my subscription account, i've still got 2009 in it's unopened box as I dare not move from 2008 just yet ! Is it just me or are they releasing stuff just too damn often ? Also apparently 2010 is 'very' different with over 500 new features ! Hell I need a time machine just to keep up......

I find it a little ripe to be complaining about Autodesk releasing new features and how often they release when there were a lot of threads and people complaining about how 3dsmax wasnt up to par with other software because of the lack of features etc... I mean you can please some of the people some of the time.....

Yeah, nice one. I guess it's just me then ! Everyone else must manage to keep up with the latest version of everything, learn all the new features, sort out all the bugs and still get paid work done... I feel inadequate, I might install Max 2009 now

lol.....Why havent you moved to 2009 if you have it sitting on your desk ? Most plugin upgrades (if thats what you are worried about) are a free upgrade if you have purchased the original. Its a pretty solid version too.

Steve, i'm going to just go straight to 2010 when Vray get their release out, no point going backwards now. Hell I only just moved from CS2 to CS3 recently ! This whole keeping on top of stuff can be a full time job, especially when your work covers lots of different areas, not just 3d Max 2009 is so last year anyway....

I'm getting around 2MB/s. Will take less then half an hour.
I won't be using it much yet but I'm really curious about one specific new VRay feature for it. *wink wink*
