    HI,

Could we have precision about map you used in http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150S...ronmentfog.htm file exemple 5: volumetrics, to have this nice smoke effect with cautics ?

When i use smoke procedural map in fog density map, caustics disapears....

could we please have answers Vlado ? or texture file you use for your exemple?

Thanks and sorry for my english.

There is nothing tricky about it, it's the same scene, but the fog density has a smoke texture.

          Best regards,
          Vlado

            OK thanks for your answers,

but as i told you, here is my result when i apply smoke procedural texture into fog density slot: it is not like your exemple, as you can see caustics disapears. i have just insert smoke procedural texture in fog density slot, change size to 25 and hit render.

            i'm under max 2009 64 bits.

Yep, I get the same thing add a cloud map texture to any of the slots and the caustics go away, I even hacked the subs up to 100 and nothing.

It will work if you un-check the "Optimized atmospherics evaluation" option in the V-Ray system rollout. Not quite sure why it does not work with that option on, I have to look into it.

                Best regards,
                Vlado

Yes your right Vlado, that run well when i unchecked optimized atmospheric evaluation.
Cool i can advance in my logo project,

                      Thanks again,
