  • DR rendering problem:

    Hi

Yesterday I added 2 nodes to my network - totalling now at 4 PCs.

    I get this render:
    http://www.orvatsel.com/vray/vr1.jpg

the maps are all directed correctly to the server (localhost)

I tried with and without subpixel mapping (don't know what it is...)

    HELP !!!!

are you rendering from a saved IRmap?
Can the slaves see all the network paths?
Do the slaves all have the same version of VRay?

As jacksc02 is suggesting, looks like the new machines cant see the where you are saving your maps ect,,

slaves DO see the maps and all have same version.

The wall on the building is actually a vray material without maps.

the IRMap - I unchecked the "don't delete" - did not solve the problem

Well the other machines cant see the Irr or lightcache that is quite obvious by your render.

Try using BB with strips and see what happens, you should get an error.

Back burner should be installed with max, just go to render and click net render and make sure you have the manager running on the machine you are sending from and server running on the slave machines. .. simple..

                    OK

                    Problem Solved.

                    Thanks

I just ran BackBurner Manager and I guess it "found" the remaining slaves.

                    Thanks a lot guys.

FOR SOME REASON IT DOES NOT REALLY HELP - the last test I did work and suddenly NADA ZILCH.

                      GRRRRR......

to me, it looks like the environment map is missing on the DR nodes...

                          hi

Go to File, and Asset tracking and make sure things are where they should be, if not right click and set path, see if that helps.

The asset browser is OK - all maps are where they should be ( I use the UNC convention)
This is not the first time I work with DR - I just added 2 nodes and even after registering the BB servers - I get the problem.

So can you go on one of the slave machines and get to all network places where the maps ect are kept? have you disabled the xp firewalls ?
