Now the process has finally moved to testing. I'll release 1.1 tomorrow unless something major pops up, which should be unlikely.

One of the upsides of raytraced blobs is scalability. Here is one test (fixed settings, no need to animate quality parameters or anything) which came out fairly well if you ignore the circles caused by poor AA.

Thought I would test out the metaball and see what kind of snow I could come up with. Didn't spend alot of time on it, but at least have a base scene to mess with.

Looks good - that's one of the things I'm really hoping to get down with it too.

thanks, very nice plugin. you did an incredible work.
howaever, i cannot render metaballs using DR with indirect illum on (irr+LC). it works on each node if i send via backburner. but when using DR, the metaballs are visible during prepasses, and disappear during render.....
i already have . net 3.5 and the redistribuables you gave the link to.
                      i have windows vista x64

                      Regards

Strange. I'm not having any problems and if its visible in prepasses by it should work just fine. Did you make sure all the nodes have the same version (1.0 vs 1.10)?
