  • latest autodesk hotfix for 2010

I got an email concerning a hotfix for max 2010 that was recently released.
Does anyone know if this addresses any of the issues regarding the apparent increase
in rendering times with vray and max 2010?

I'm waiting for a fix before I migrate to the new version. It seems like from other threads that I've read that turning off bit map paging really didn't address the issue.

    Nvidia Drivers almost fixed

Have not tested the render times, but now I can use Graphite with a Quadro 3500

I think VRay speed works the same in 2010 in comparison with 2009.

The speed of V-Ray itself is the same, but it appears that some of the code for bitmap calculations in 3ds Max 2010 has changed and this affects the render times (regardless of which renderer you use).

        Best regards,

Installed the update today Hoping that this would fix the low thread lag, it seems a little better but not great. There are lots of complaints out there so lets hope they fix it soon, but as for rendering speed we havent really noticed the difference, seems ok ..
