I thought that it was a replacement for the subdivs from the moment you set interpolate on, but this is not the case (changing subdivs does a lot even with interpolate on)
Hi flipside.
Interpolation determines how much smoothing is done between the samples. Subdivs determine the individual sample quality. If your samples are close to each other you will not see much change by changing the interpolation value.
