  • Irmap animation prepass mode

I am testing the new animation prepass irmap mode for animated moving objects.
I am stuggling a little bit.

Normally we use Brute force light cache for our car adverts but as it can be quiet difficult to clean the noise and keep the render time down I would like to start testing animated irmaps (especially in the shadow under the car)

Some of the lads here at work reckon it will have problems with objects that move a long distance between frames, they tried to explain the logic of this argument but its early monday morning and I aint had my coffee yet.

So does it work with fast moving objects (e.g. cars) or when it averages the irmaps will there be a luminance shift in the shadow?

the frame attached is from an animation of a box moving over and back across the screen,

Irmap (animated mode) and brute force

the blurring caused by averaging of the irmaps, is this caused by me doing something wrong or is this an inherent side effect of animated irmaps?
