Have you tried increasing the HSphere subdivs?

If that doesn't help I would render the ground as a separate pass with a saved solution and comp in the ball and the character rendered with single frame. By setting the correct matte properties on the ground you should get correct shadows and GI.

This would probably render faster anyway.

      Hi Schnupps.

Nice clips I know you are probably frantic to ge this fixed. I can't really help, it looks strange to me too. As a suggestion though... you can probably use multiframe for the camera rotation clip.

Would you mind telling us which HDRI file that is you are using?

      Good Luck,
      --Jon

        Schnupps,

Try to disable the bitmaps in your scene and see what happens. Also, try using a solid color for the skylight instead of the environment map.

Don't worry about the "HDRI locked" warning; it means the map is already in memory and there is no need to reload it again.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

Have you checked wether the QMC-Settings are the same on both machines (should be if you use the same file on both machines)
I remember someone reported problems with flickering renders and HDR-Images because Max´s way of image filtering and HDRI´s are not compatible and the maps filtering was not turned off in the material editor. I´m not sure if I remember that correctly nor if this is still true for the current max version (5.1.1) or vray build though.

Good luck with finishing your animation,

          Stefan

Hi, thank you all, I just woke up and saw your new suggestions.
Now I´ve got a few things to take a closer look at, I´ll report back if it works...

Well if it doesn´t probably too

Ok... it works! I changed from high to medium Animation, Hemisphere Subd. from 15 to 25 and Interpolation samples from 20 to 25.
Then from Nearest Quad to Precalulated... And then the Calc. Pass Interpolation Samples from 18 to 15.

Here is a screenshots of all the settings:
              http://www.rebusmedia.de/Vray-test.html

I don´t know really, which of these funky parameters did the change, but I am not going to try it out now, being afraid of destroying the wonder.
There is still a slight difference between the two PCs but I just render different sequences with them, so it is alright.

Low? I just turned the up. What would be a good Number?
I mean it works beautiful so far. (40 Frames rendered)
