problem with after effects is its crappy at animation since the sketch filter flickers and isnt object oriented but image processed. this was the ultimate but it was soooo long ago

Yeah, Glorybound said $100, but the3DStudio price does say $1000 which IS ridiculous. To me this looks like a similar approach to that of Dynamic Auto Painter, only DAP is far more flexible (only it is a standalone program that redraws your image). I guess this material has potential though... needs a variety "Brush strokes" though.
