  • VRayPhysicalCam Quicktime VR realtime Pano stuff

    Hi all

    The problem and synopsis
There use to be a plugin years ago for max, that lets you select a standard camera and then it auto rotates that camera and renders 6 different views. Then you would take those 6 views and auto stitch them and save it as a mov file in which you could use your mouse and rotate the view in realtime. I have some of those mov from old projects, and it plays fine on 32bit machine. But on a 64bit machine it just gives a blank screen.

The Question as per thread title
Using a VRayPhysicalCam, what technique/plugin etc can I use to achieve this? (the viewers of the end result will typically be on 32bit)
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

QTVRs do not work on XP64, you would need to use a flash-based panorama viewer.

We render spherical 2x1 images from Vray and put them into a piece of software...what's it called???...Pano2VR I think...Green Works or something is the company...

How do I go about rendering a spherical 2X1 image? Is it a simple case of telling VrayCam to be spherical and then in render settings make sure aspect ratio is 2:1? (1000X500 for example?)
      Kind Regards,

Seems with the free version I can make "cubic" or "cylindrical" panos, but not spherical like what the VRayCam would be. Can somebody explain this a bit better to me please?
          Kind Regards,

Informative, but I still don't know how to achieve this using VRayPhysicalCamera.

                      In my case,

                      1. Render with VrayPhysicalCam + Vraycamera setting to Spherical / FOV 360 override + resolution 2:1
                      2. Launch Panorama Exporter Viewer and load spherical rendered image into Panorama viewer.
                      3. Export it to Cylindrical image.
                      4. Make it to QTVR by using Pano2QTVR
