  • creating a glossier refractive material with SSS2

I'm trying to recreate a particular translucent plastic and I'm using FastSSS2 with single scatter mode set to refractive. I can get a decent level of translucency by lowering the scatter radius down, but it's the refraction seems to sharp.

How can I get the refractions to also be glossier, more like frosted plastic/glass, using SSS2? Do I have to put it in a blend material or should I just skip it and do this with the VrayMaterial instead?

    Thanks /b

No takers? I'm running out of time on this one so may need to just skip the SSS material, but I would love to know how to accomplish it with the FastSSS2 mat.

    Thanks /b

You could try with a fine bump map for the fastsss2 material.
