i just htought id add that i love the lighting you have in the vray version. nice shadows compaired to the max version

In the render scene dialog there is a Global switches rollout, make sure Reflection/refraction is enabled there.

If it was the environment override the object would still reflect the surrounding objects.

Ok, that did it. Man, do I feel stupid. This reminds me what happened to my Aunt thirty years ago. She called a TV repair man out to her house because her set would not fire up. He came by and plugged it in, after that it worked fine. I swore that my Aunt was not related to me, well I guess the apple does not fall far from the tree.
