    does vray still have troubles with speedtree. i just got it and i had the same error that was reported in june (perhaps there is an internal build that works?).

    speedtree works here with the new built. but it´s very slow because of the opacity material. i hope in 1.1 they have an opacity slot in the vray mat. the refration slot doesn´t work that good with speedtree.

      but what error do you get ? is it while vray is building the sd tree ? i had that problem once some time ago. the reason was too may trees in the scene. even the scanline had some problems with that scene.

        i believe i have the newest build (7/26), i get the error "building render normals" for node speedtree.

            and what to do with the opacity map ? in the refractionslot with ior 1.0 ?

              Exactly Marc. Place your opacity map in the refraction map slot. IOR1. Make sure the map has the see-through areas as white (white = 100% refraction / black = 0%).
