yeah thats what i though, but if you look at the wax & vraymtl with relfections it works fine there.....is it beacuse the carpaint is a shellac based material?

yes, the shellac might have something to do with it. I'll try to find a workaround.

Yeah cool, just did a quick test with a shellac material and it showed the same type of problems as with your carpaint...its seem that it just dont like shellec type materials.

The wax multiplyer will be very handy...thanks

I just installed on VIZ 4 Vray 1.09.03m. When I select any of the mats from the Material/map browser it crashes.

Do you get an error message? If so I'd appreciate if you emailed it to me (address is on the button below)

                  EGZ:

On VIZ4, only the wax and glass materials work (very lovely!)

The carpaint and vray light are causing it to crash when you try to open the material.

The message just says "an error has occurred and viz will now close" err something like it.

Hmmm, these two materials have a more complex structure with several materials nested. Maybe Viz has a problem with that. I will have to do some viz research i guess. If I make some quick debugging materials would either of you be willing to test if they work?

egz - perhaps having some problems w/VRay not working in the material
editor, not even sure the materials could cause it but have a look here.
